Firefinch - Silk Shading & Goldwork

Firefinch -  This charming design came to me as I viewed French chinoiserie paintings at a historic home.  A bell or flower hangs down attracting the little bird to stop on the branch nearby. 
 
The Firefinch is a great way to start your silk shading journey.  You will learn a padding technique, silk shading, goldwork combined with some crewel work stitches.  The design combines a number of different threads and is finished off with some Swarovski beads.  The design is suitable for a confident beginner or an intermediate stitcher.
