This course is not suitable for a complete beginner to embroidery.

We will be looking via a presentation the history of blackwork, followed by a tonal drawing exercise and I will asking students to send in an image that they would like to stitch using the blackwork technqiue.  This image should ideally be a B/W photograph.  You will learn how to tonally map the image and we will look at how to transfer the image to the fabric.
